Psychologist, PhD, post-doctoral researcher. Trauma-informed, evidence-based, and on your side.
I am a registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi). I bring a strong research background to my clinical work and place high value on evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and ongoing professional development. I completed my Doctorate at the University of Adelaide and have worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate, with a particular focus on the social determinants of psychological wellbeing. My academic work includes a broad range of peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, which can be accessed here.
My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies that are thoughtfully adapted to each person’s unique traits, needs, and life experiences. I work from a person-centred perspective and view each individual as the expert on their own inner world, challenges, and potential for change. At the same time, I take an active and collaborative role in supporting people to make sense of their experiences, overcome past and present difficulties, and build lives that feel meaningful and authentic. I place great importance on the therapeutic relationship and aim to create a space characterised by warmth, compassion, and, when appropriate, a gentle pinch of humour.
I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment in which clients feel heard, respected, and genuinely understood. I warmly welcome individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
I have experience working with a wide range of presentations, including depression and other mood disorders, anxiety-related conditions, emotion regulation difficulties, personality vulnerabilities, trauma and complex trauma, stress-related difficulties, grief, anger management, major life transitions, interpersonal and relationship challenges, as well as experiences of bullying and harassment.
I also have a particular interest in, and extend a strong welcome to, individuals who have experienced narcissistic abuse and are seeking support in their recovery. My work is informed by a trauma-informed lens, with careful attention to safety, trust, and emotional pacing.
