Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

What’s on Your Mind Psychology is a private psychology practice operated by Dr Davi Manzini Macedo, a psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA). This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and disclosed, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the ethical and legal obligations of registered psychologists.

What information is collected

When you submit an enquiry through this website, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, preferred language and a brief description of what you would like help with. If you go on to become a client, further personal and health information is collected as part of the assessment and treatment process, including your history, the content of sessions and, where relevant, information from your GP or other health providers with your consent.

This website does not use advertising trackers. It may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate; no attempt is made to identify individual visitors.

How information is used

Personal information is used only to respond to your enquiry, to provide psychological services to you, to manage appointments and billing, to communicate with you about your care, and to meet legal and professional obligations such as record keeping. Health information is never used for marketing, and your details are never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

How information is stored

Enquiry form submissions are transmitted securely and stored on this website and in the practice’s email system. Clinical records are kept in a secure, encrypted practice management system hosted in Australia and are retained for the period required by law, which for adults is a minimum of seven years from the date of last contact. Reasonable steps are taken to protect all information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access and disclosure.

When information may be disclosed

Information is disclosed only with your consent, for example to your GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law. Examples include a serious and imminent threat to the life, health or safety of any person, a court order or subpoena, or mandatory reporting obligations. Where possible, these limits to confidentiality are discussed with you before therapy begins.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to the personal information held about you, or ask for it to be corrected, by contacting the practice using the details below. Requests are responded to within a reasonable time, and access may be subject to the exceptions set out in the Privacy Act. If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, please raise it with the practice first. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
